Sanctuary is a private house in Southeast Washington, DC, beside four acres of DC parkland. It is a sacred space where up to 25 people can gather by day and up to 13 can sleep overnight across twin beds.

What happens when you arrive
You arrive to a house that is ready for you. The ceremony space sits at the heart of the property, with its permanent altar and landing stairs. The yoga lounge is bright and quiet. The dining lounge and kitchen are set up for your circle.
You will be greeted, shown the spaces, and given the house rules in person. Shoes come off in designated areas, quiet hours are 10pm to 7am outdoors, and fires happen only in the fire pit.
What to bring
Bring what you need for your own practice: a mat if you use one, water, layers for comfort, and anything your facilitator asked you to bring. The house provides the space, the altar, and the container.
Nothing is charged until the sanctuary team confirms your reservation with you. Every rate on this site is confirmed and shown up front.
After your ceremony
After your gathering, guests with a completed booking can leave a genuine review — one per gathering, only from people who were actually there. You will receive a thank-you note and a review request.
If you would like to come back, the sanctuary offers weekday, weekend, and custom stays. The weekend retreat starts at $2,700.
